“At Fairview Mountain Golf Club, we believe great golf begins with great conditions.

Set above the valley floor in the South Okanagan, Fairview Mountain delivers a championship layout shaped by elevation changes, strategic bunkering, and fast, true greens. Every hole asks you to think, choose your line, and commit to the shot.

But what keeps golfers coming back is the condition of the course.

Our grounds team takes enormous pride in presenting some of the best playing surfaces in the region. Fairways are firm and consistent. Greens roll pure. The entire course is prepared daily with one goal in mind: providing an exceptional playing experience.

From the back tees, Fairview offers a rewarding challenge for accomplished players. With multiple tee options, golfers of all abilities can enjoy the layout and experience the strategy the course was designed to deliver.

Many golfers choose to drive a little further to play Fairview. Once you experience the conditions, it’s easy to see why.”

Hole 1 - The Start

This is the toughest starting hole in the valley and one of the number 1 handicap hole on the course. A drive aimed at the second bunker in the distance will leave you with a long to mid iron into the green. Take one extra club on the approach shot as this hole plays more uphill than it looks.

Hole 2 - Blind Faith

This par 4 involves a blind tee shot to a landing area that slopes from right to left. Use a club that will give you 190 yards off the tee and you will be left with a wedge to mid iron approach to a green guarded by pot bunkers. Use the cart path as your target line off the tee and dont go right of it.

Hole 3 - Short but Sharp

A lovely wide green designed to lull you into a false sense of security. This green complex has a sneaky amount of break, especially during the warm summer months. Also, make sure you reach the green from the tee, short is not going to run up.

Hole 4 - The Lookout

A fully renovated green complex in 2024 gives a great landing pad for your approach shot. But be careful off the tee, bunkers left at driving distance and OB right that sometimes feels like a ball magnet. A centre fairway drive will leave you a nice mid iron in. Keep the approach to the right and let the break bring your ball to the centre of the green. Easy, right?

Hole 5 - The Edge

The farthest point to the clubhouse, holes 5 and 6 give great views of the vineyards in the area. And this hole will reward the brave. Reachable in 2 for the long hitters, but beware a very well guarded green and OB right again. And why not 4 bunkers at driving distance just to keep you on your toes.

Hole 6 - Bender

If I had to wager how many balls went into the OB right on this hole, I’d run out of zeros. Keep it in the fairway and enjoy a short iron in to one of the original greens on the course. But don’t get too complacent, theres undulation everywhere on the green surface and plenty of sand to catch wayward approaches.

Hole 7 - Deception

A long par 3 with what feels like a compulsory carry. theres forgiveness short, but long is jail. Get it on the putting surface and the wonderfully true greens at Fairview will reward well read putts. This hole can make or break a nine…

Hole 8 - Up the Hill

A really scoreable hole for those with the guts. Plenty of hazards to avoid but plenty of reward to be had on this relatively short par 5. Try not to fall in love with a Marmot on your way to the green. And watch out for that rock!

Hole 9 - Vista

A very different hole, and view, depending on which tees you play. It’s worth a drive up to the tips simply for the best view of the course and the valley. This hole is narrower than you think and there’s bunkers guarding the front right of the green. Once you make it to the putting surface the 2 levels can create some spicy putts! At least theres a sandwich and a drink to be had at the Cactus Shack after you putt out.

Hole 10 - Bullseye

Another inviting par 3. You can see everything on the hole right in front of you. Just remember, left is bunker, right is jail, long is death and short is impossible. A great way to start digesting that hotdog from the turn!

Hole 11 - Dropoff

Another hole that is completely different depending on your tee box of choice. Long-hitters will be looking to make it to the edge of the slope or near to it, turning this into a 2 shot hole. For the rest of us, there’s a great lilypad to approach the green from. Lots of elevation change on this hole!

Hole 12 - Stubby

A driveable par 4. But a very well protected green. And one of the nastiest breaking greens on the course. You’ll want your approach to be below the hole on this one!

Hole 13 - The Riser

One last time back up the hill towards the clubhouse. This par 4 is deceptively tricky. The bunker can be long, short or right in the middle of driving distance depending on wind. And the green is protected by sand and elevation. Scraping by with par can feel like a birdie here.

Hole 14 - The Corner

A nice wide fairway for you to drive into… Just watch out for that tree… Strategically placed sand bring the defence for this hole but play your cards right and be rewarded with a birdie putt.

Hole 15 - Poké Bowl

The last par 3 on the course. You can see all the hazards from the tee box. If the pin is in the bowl, everything funnels there. Hit your target and read your putt. Golf IS easy after all.

Hole 16 - The Edge

The second hardest hole on the course... And to many, the hardest. Keep it straight and get to the edge of the hill and you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic view of the green and what shot you need to hit. Be short or off target and you’ve got your work cut out for you. A 2 level green adds to the challenge.

Hole 17 - Invisible

A long carry off the tee, bunkers to avoid, a green you can’t see till you’re almost on it. This par 5 has it all. If you have the time, it’s worth driving up to scope out the green from your second and third shots. Play smart on this one and you’ll be putting for birdie.

Hole 18 - Elevated

The Fairview Mountain signature hole. The best view of the clubhouse and surrounding vineyards. You can also hear the nearby racetrack on certain days. Don’t worry, the fairway on this par 4 is wider than it looks. But the heavily guarded green can make for some interesting viewing for those on the clubhouse patio. You’re almost there, keep it together!
